The FDI projects included in the Department for International Trade’s inward investment results relate only to those that have landed in the UK during the respective financial year. This means that the activities planned as a result of the investment have commenced in the UK. The FDI statistics do not include FDI projects which have been announced but have not commenced. Further information on the criteria for projects to be included in the statistics is available in the technical annex accompanying the publication.
