Audio-visual Industry: Employment

Question to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, what recent assessment she has made on levels of employment in the audio-visual sector of the UK leaving the EU.

We have commissioned the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) to gather evidence on patterns of EU migration and the role of migration in the wider economy, ahead of our exit from the EU. This commission will provide a clear channel for business and other employers to express their views, and their findings will be used to inform decisions about the post EU exit immigration arrangements. The government will be setting out our initial proposals for a new immigration system in due course.
