Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what discussions she has had with the American Embassy on the reasons for which it has not reinstated the service of renouncing a citizenship.

Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office officials have spoken to the US Embassy in London on this matter. The Embassy said they are not able to provide a timeline as to when this service will resume, but they will update their website as soon as they know. Officials will continue to raise this where appropriate.
