The UK continues to demand full and sustained humanitarian access to besieged communities in Syria, including Eastern Ghouta, at the UN and at every opportunity. I raised the situation in Eastern Ghouta with the Russian Ambassador to the UK, His Excellency Alexander Yakovenko, during our meeting on 31 October. The UK’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York also raised this issue in the UN Security Council on 30 October.
