Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:
To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, how many new starter homes have been built in Southampton since 2015.

We are helping people get a foot on the property ladder through a range of initiatives, including starter homes. Since spring 2010, Government-backed schemes have helped over 417,000 homes be purchased.
The precise definition of starter homes is being considered as part of the revised draft National Planning Policy Framework – until that definition is finalised no starter homes can be made available or sold.
