Question to the Department for Education:
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what recent discussions she has had with the Chancellor of the Exchequer on funding education for 16 to 19-year olds.
The Secretary of State has regular discussions with the Chancellor of the Exchequer on funding for all aspects of her Department’s responsibilities, including education for 16 to 19-year olds. Long term funding decisions are made as part of government’s Spending Review process; the current Spending Review period extends up to and including 2019-2020.
