Question to the Department for International Development:
To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, what steps her Department plans to take to support the Government of Uganda in supporting refugees in that country.
The UK is the second largest bilateral donor to the refugee response in Uganda. Our support is increasing to reflect rising needs from the recent influx of refugees, predominantly from South Sudan. In the coming year, we plan to provide food to more than 900,000 refugees, shelter to 116,000 refugees, access to clean water for more than 212,000 refugees and nutritional support to more than 215,000 children.
