Source: The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA)

The HFEA has advised that there is only one clinic in the United Kingdom licenced to conduct a research project undertaking pro-nuclear transfer, which involves the use of embryos, and no clinics are licenced to undertake a research project involving maternal spindle transfer, which involves the use of eggs. The HFEA holds information on the number of embryos used for research in pro-nuclear transfer.
