The Government has no plans to introduce routine health follow-up of children born as a result of the use of frozen oocytes in fertility treatment.

To date, there has not been any evidence that pregnancies resulting from assisted reproduction technologies are less safe than natural pregnancies or that there are any adverse health effects for children conceived through assisted reproduction.
