Question to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, with reference to the policy paper, The exchange and protection of personal data: a future partnership paper, published on 24 August 2017, whether the Government plans to grant all third counties designated by the EU as data protection adequate the same status from the UK; and on what basis such a decision will be made.

I refer the Hon member to the responses I gave in the Chamber during the Leaving the EU: Data Protection debate on Thursday 12 October.
