Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what discussions he has had with clinical commissioning groups that have reportedly commissioned their own reviews of fertility services to inform commissioning practice.

In considering local commissioning for fertility services, clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) should have regard to clinical evidence within the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence Guidance for fertility services. There is no need for CCGs to undertake their own evidence reviews.
