Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what estimate his Department has made of the number of workers who have left the social care sector in England as a result of making vaccination for covid-19 a condition of deployment in the health and wider social care sector.

NHS England and NHS Improvement publish weekly statistics on the number of social care staff. However, data on the reasons for staff exit are not collected. Following a public consultation, regulations were laid to revoke vaccination as a condition of deployment came into force on 15 March 2022.
