The Cabinet Office takes its data handling responsibilities extremely seriously and has various measures in place to identify, handle, respond and report (as and where necessary) to any losses of its documents or other information.

The information requested is not held centrally. All losses are assessed and responded to individually and on a case by case basis with all possible mitigating actions being taken and in full compliance of our legal and other responsibilities.

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, what the hourly pay-rate is for his Department's cleaning staff.

The pay range for directly employed London cleaning staff is £20,188 - £24,430 per annum.

The rate of pay per hour for cleaning staff employed by our Facilities Management contractors ranges from £6.80 to £9.40 for those aged under 21 and from £7.20 to £9.40 for those aged 21 and over, depending on the contract of the employee.

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, how many current Ministers have been allocated an extended ministerial office (EMO); how many staff work in each EMO; how many of those staff were civil servants prior to moving to the EMO; how many of those staff have been recruited from outside the civil service; and what the salary grade is of those EMO staff.

A revised version of the Ministerial Code was published on the 21st December 2016, which removed the provisions for setting up Extended Ministerial Offices (EMOs). My officials are working with the Civil Service Commission and relevant departments on the process of disbanding any remaining EMOs.
