Getting ready for the distribution of Christmas parcels for the elderly in our community over the next few days. Thanks to CAVO and all those who donated towards this project run by Borth Community Hub (Family Centre). https://t.co/R9WPYL8K1a
I cannot believe that it is now a year today since the last dreadful Westminster election. Only 4 more years to the next one which I look forward to with relish. In the meantime plenty to do in support of @CadanapTomos’s bid to represent us in the Senedd.
Another useful meeting of the N.Ceredigion Forum for Older People's Care. Interesting Qs raised: the costs to the tax payer of the aborted Cylch Caron project? Pressures on the Social care system from Covid? The impact of Covid on NHS waiting lists? Next Zoom meeting 14th Jan.
Meanwhile, #humanrights continue to be violated. I visited the #WesternSahara a few years ago, & spent time with an oppressed & fearful population, & the UN peace keepers. 2/2
Appalled by Trump's support for Morocco's claim/occupation of the Western Sahara. As former Chair of @UKParliament’s W.Sahara Campaign, we supported the indigenous Saharawi people’s call for independence. They still await the independence referendum brokered by the UN in 1991 1/2
Happy 65th Birthday on December 8th to the @FUW_UAC from @WelshLibDems, and a heartfelt thankyou for being such a powerful voice for Welsh farmers and the rural communities of our country. To members, staff and officers, past and present, Wales owes you a great deal. https://t.co/Pu7obESH0K
Took part this afternoon in a Zoom conference on #humanrights in Iran hosted by the Association of Women & Youth Against Fundamentalism. An opportunity to urge once again action against the perpetrators of human rights violations sanctioned by the Iranian Government & its agents.
Today is #SmallBusinessSaturday and with so many fantastic local businesses right across #Ceredigion please do #shoplocal if you can. We must support small local businesses who are facing such difficult times at present. @SmallBizSatUK
