Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:

To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, what steps his Department is taking to speed up the planning process.

The Productivity Plan published in July sets out ambitious plans to further streamline the planning process. This includes making it easier to establish the principle of development, streamline the length and process for Local Plans and introducing a new dispute resolution process for section 106 agreements.
