This petition is one that I and many other hon. Members support, including my hon. Friend the Member for Chatham and Aylesford (Tracey Crouch), who is in her place. The Dartford crossing has been a scar on the face of Dartford for too long.

The petition states:

The Petition of residents of North Kent,

Declares that the petitioners believe that the Dartford Crossing should not be sold or privatised.

The Petitioners therefore request that the House of Commons urges the Government to ensure that the Dartford Crossing remains in public ownership.
