Debate between Frank McNally and Wes Streeting

Monday 19th October 2026 Commons Chamber

[Wes Streeting]

I recognise the challenge raised by the right hon. Member. That is something I am looking at.

[Frank McNally (Coatbridge and Bellshill) (Lab)]

Businesses such as Cairnhill Structures in Coatbridge play a critical role in supporting infrastructure repairs in Ukraine, including the rebuilding of bridges destroyed by Russian forces, to help reconnect Ukrainian communities. Does my right hon. Friend agree that our continued support for Ukraine can go hand in hand with strengthening Scottish industry, supporting skilled employment and driving economic growth? If he gets the opportunity, will he visit Cairnhill to see the work it is doing?
