To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, if he will publish the evidence cited by the Minister for Housing, the hon. Member for Esher and Walton in the Sunday Times article of 8 April 2018, that immigration has increased house prices.

To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, what assessment he has made of recent trends in the level of housebuilding.

Housing starts have almost doubled since 2009. Over 608,000 new homes have been built since April 2010 – there are now 795,000 more homes in England than in 2009.
Trends in housebuilding are published in the quarterly House Building Release.

Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:
To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, what assessment he has made of the effect of reductions in central government revenue support to local government since 2010 on the management of the historic environment through the planning process.

Local authorities are independent from Central Government and are responsible for managing their budgets in line with local priorities. Since 2010 there has been a slight increase in the number of listed building consent decisions issued and slight increase in the proportion of those that were granted consent.
