Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what plans his Department has to (a) increase capacity for outpatient diagnostic services for menstrual and reproductive health conditions and (b) introduce women’s health hubs to improve access to those services.
Answered by Maria Caulfield - Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Department for Business and Trade) (Minister for Women)
There are no current plans to do so. The provision of local health services available to patients, including women’s health hubs, is a matter for clinical commissioning groups, which have a statutory responsibility to commission healthcare services that meet the needs of their whole population.

Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment his Department has made of the adherence of NHS providers to NICE guidelines on menstrual and reproductive health conditions, such as on heavy menstrual bleeding and endometriosis.
Answered by Maria Caulfield - Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Department for Business and Trade) (Minister for Women)
No specific assessment has been made. We expect National Health Service providers to take account of such guidance when planning and delivering services and providing care and treatment to patients.
