Question to the Department for International Development:
To ask Her Majesty's Government what steps they are taking to ensure that the pension arrears owed to former members of Her Majesty's Overseas Civil Service are paid.

DFID Overseas Pension Department have responsibility for administering pensions to former expatriate Colonial Civil Servants and have no pension arrears outstanding to entitled pensioners.

Question to the Department for International Development:
To ask Her Majesty's Government, further to the Written Answer by Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon on 25 October (HL1890), whether they intend to make good the deficit in the Central African Pension Fund, as they did in 2010.

The Central African Pension Fund will next be officially valued in July 2018. It is for Crown Agents, as Trustees of the Fund, to consider how to respond to any deficit.

Question to the Department for International Development:
To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether they will consider making a contribution to the proposed Zimbabwe Public Service Pension Fund from either the aid programme or the superannuation fund.

Responsibility for Zimbabwe’s public service pensioners rests with the Government of Zimbabwe. The Government will therefore not consider making a contribution from either UK aid funds, or the superannuation fund.
