Question to the Department for Exiting the European Union :

To ask the Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union, if the Government will make an assessment of whether the appointment of Professor Dr Martin Selmayr as Secretary General of the European Commission was done through professional and fair recruitment and selection procedures.

Appointments to the European Commission civil service are an internal matter for the Commission.
