Question to the Department for Exiting the European Union :
To ask Her Majesty's Government what funding they have provided to those researching the gender impact of the COVID-19 lockdown.

The Office for National Statistics and Public Health England are government-funded bodies that are conducting research and analysis to understand gender impacts of COVID-19. UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) is also funding work in this area, such as adapting existing longitudinal studies to cover covid impacts, and running an open call for research proposals on covid-19. In addition, the Government Equalities Office has commissioned a survey under its existing Gender and Behavioural Insights research programme to measure the impact of the changes in the uptake of flexible working on gender equality within households and the workplace.

Question to the Department for Exiting the European Union :
To ask Her Majesty's Government whether they intend to produce an analysis of the Communication by the European Commission Preparing for the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union on 30 March 2019: Implementing the Commission’s Contingency Action Plan, published on 19 December, to identify points of conflict and agreement with their own contingency plans for a no deal Brexit.

The Government has noted carefully the contents of the Commission’s 19 December Communication, alongside the Commission’s previous statements on contingency planning. We have been clear that we do not want or expect a no deal scenario. Both sides remain focused on delivering the deal that has been agreed.
As the Prime Minister has also noted, it is the responsible thing to do to prepare for all eventualities. Just as we are making sensible preparations for all outcomes, we would expect the EU to do the same.

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether they plan to produce a position paper on transport post-Brexit.

The Government has published a series of papers on the new deep and special partnership the UK wants to build with the EU, and these papers represent the hard work and detailed thinking that has been going on behind the scenes across Whitehall over the past twelve months.
They offer pragmatic and innovative solutions to issues related to our withdrawal and the future deep and special partnership that we want with the European Union.
The Government will publish further position papers on other issues in due course, providing more information to business and individuals, and informing our negotiations with the EU.
