Baroness Anelay of St Johns
Main Page: Baroness Anelay of St Johns (Conservative - Life peer)My Lords, I must inform the House that, owing to a considerable increase in the number of speakers who signed up for the Second Reading of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Amendment) Bill over the course of just yesterday, and owing to the tabling yesterday of additional amendments to the Dog Control Bill introduced by my noble friend Lord Redesdale, it has been agreed with my noble friend that we will look to reschedule the Committee stage of his Bill to a later date rather than proceed with it today. That is in order to ensure that today the House can rise no later than the conventional time of three o’clock. Of course, I regret the inconvenience to any noble Lords who were hoping to participate in proceedings on my noble friend’s Bill today and I am grateful to him for his co-operation in this matter.
