Raise the maximum weight limit for Light Goods Vehicles to 3750kg.

We would like the Government to increase the maximum weight of Light Goods Vehicles from 3500kg to 3750kg, as we think the regulations around weight limits were set decades ago, vehicles produced nowadays are safer and average curb weights have increased.

Electric bike and scooter users should have compulsory basic training, be licensed and insured to protect third parties. Helmets should be required by law to protect drivers. This would match requirements for mopeds and light motorcycles.
