Steve Baker Portrait The Minister of State, Northern Ireland Office (Mr Steve Baker)
- Hansard - - - Excerpts

On a point of order, Mr Deputy Speaker. If I may, I will take a moment to recognise that the United Nations has made today International Day to Combat Islamophobia. The Government condemn anti-Muslim hatred, just as we condemn antisemitism and all forms of racism and hatred, and I would like to put on the record that it is a matter of profound regret to us all that people are still judged by their identity, when they should be judged by their conduct and their character.

Roger Gale Portrait Mr Deputy Speaker
- Hansard - - - Excerpts

As the Minister will understand, that is not a point of order for the Chair, but he has put his point on the record.
