Prayers mark the daily opening of Parliament. The occassion is used by MPs to reserve seats in the Commons Chamber with 'prayer cards'. Prayers are not televised on the official feed.

Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority
The Vice-Chamberlain of the Household reported to the House, That the Humble Address, praying that His Majesty will reappoint Mr William Lifford to the office of ordinary member of the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority with effect from 11 January 2023 for the period ending 10 January 2026, was presented to His Majesty, who was graciously pleased to comply with the request.
