I can certainly say that we will publish our response to the consultation this summer—it will be a matter of a few months, rather than having to wait any longer. In answer to another of his questions, the changes will not be retrospectively applied.

Member for Wythenshawe and Sale East (Mike Kane), the proposals would not change the requirements that an existing vehicle would have been designed to meet.
