The House met at half-past Two o’clock
The House met on the first day of this Parliament, pursuant to Proclamation. David Natzler, Clerk of the House of Commons, Jacqy Sharpe, acting Clerk Assistant, and Philippa Helme, Principal Clerk of the Table Office, attended in the House, and the other Clerks attended, according to their duty.
Ian Denyer, Deputy Clerk of the Crown in Chancery in Great Britain, delivered to the said Jacqy Sharpe a book containing a list of the Members returned to serve in this Parliament.
Sir Gerald Kaufman, the Member for Manchester, Gorton, took the Chair (Standing Order No. 1).
