The following is an extract from a speech given by the Minister for Policing, Criminal Justice and Victims, the right hon. Member for Ashford (Damian Green), during the debate on Protecting Children Online on 12 June 2013.

In 2012-13, CEOP safeguarded and protected 790 children, an increase of 85% on the previous year, and the highest yearly figure since the centre launched in 2006. That brings the total number of children who have been protected to 2,255 in that seven-year history.

An error has been identified in part of the speech I gave during the debate on protecting children online.

The correct response should have been:
