Declares that the Petitioners believe that Leeds City Council should act now to stop the closure of Spring Gardens care home in Otley; notes that the home is the only council run home in the Otley catchment area; also notes that most of the residents are in their 80’s and 90’s and the closure of the home would severely disrupt their lives;
The Petitioners therefore request that the House of Commons urges the Government to encourage Leeds City Council to take the necessary steps to stop the closure of Spring Gardens care home

The issue referred to is for the local council concerned and I am asking Leeds city council to ensure that the views of the petitioners are taken into account when making their decision.
