SI explanatory text These Regulations modify section 29A of the Education Act 2002 (c. 32) (“the 2002 Act”) and the Education (Educational Provision for Improving Behaviour) Regulations 2010 (S.I. 2010/1156) (“the 2010 Regulations”), so that they apply to Academy schools and alternative provision Academies (“Academies”), and to pupil referral units (in England) in the same way that they apply to maintained schools in England, with specific modifications. These are the first regulations that exercise the power contained within section 29A (5) of the 2002 Act.

SI explanatory text These Regulations amend the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (Constitution and Functions) and NHS England (Functions) Regulations 2013 (S.I. 2013/259) (“2013 Regulations”). The purpose of these amendments is to introduce a power for the Secretary of State to direct the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (“NICE”) with regard to the cost-effectiveness threshold NICE is to apply to health technologies when carrying out technology appraisals under regulation 7 of the 2013 Regulations or appraising highly specialised health technologies under regulation 8 of the 2013 Regulations.

A financial penalty can be imposed when a person fails to comply with a requirement to provide information imposed under section 277A(1) of the Health and Social Care Act 2012 or provides information in response to such a requirement that is false or misleading to a material extent.

SI explanatory text These Regulations amend secondary legislation relating to the National Health Service, and the regulation of the medical professions in consequence of the implementation of integrated care provider (“ICP”) contracts. ICP contracts will be a single contract, through which general practice, wider NHS and, in some cases, local authority services can be commissioned from a lead provider organisation, responsible for delivering integrated care.
