Parallel Parliament Acceptable Use Agreement

Parallel Parliament reserves the right, in its discretion, to change or modify all or any part of this agreement at any time, effective immediately upon publishing such changes or modifications.

This Acceptable Use Agreement should be read and agreed in conjuction with the Terms and Conditions.

Please review the Acceptable Use Agreement (the “Agreement”) which set out how you may post your documents, files, photographs, videos, text, comments, captions, combinations of these or other materials, (including any personal data, as defined in Article 4(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation) you choose to include (your “Content”) to Parallel Parliament.

Effective Date

This Agreement is effective as of 22nd September 2021.

Agreement

When uploading or contributing your Content to Parallel Parliament, you agree to the following Terms.

By directly uploading your Content, you acknowledge and agree that you and your Content are subject to these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations, including those regarding copyright, trademark, publicity and other intellectual property rights.

Warranty

You warrant that you are legally entitled to upload the Content in question and to grant to us the license referred to below.

Copyright

Notwithstanding any other provision of these Terms, you retain any copyright you may have in the Content.

Permissions
You undertake that prior to uploading any content to Parallel Parliament you will get permission, including any assignments, waivers, licences, rights, consents, and permissions (“Permissions”) in respect of anyone else’s rights in or to the content (including, without limitation, all intellectual property rights, moral rights, performance rights (which include any music used in your video) rights to privacy, image rights and publicity rights), which give you (and us, relying on your agreement to these terms and conditions) the right to immediately use, publish, reproduce, distribute, produce derivative works of, edit, perform, display and broadcast the uploaded Content in any media formats and through any media channels without liability to any third party.
Licence
By uploading material to Parallel Parliament , you grant us a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, sub-licensable, transferrable, worldwide licence to use, copy, edit, adapt, publish, translate, display, create adaptations from, make available, communicate and distribute the uploaded content, in whole or in part, and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media or technology now known or later developed, for purposes including, without limitation, promotional purposes.
Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Parallel Parliament and anyone associated with Parallel Parliament including its contributors, helpers, partners, associates, employees, agents, and volunteer administrators against any claims, liability, losses, damages, and expenses (including legal and accounting fees) related to your use of this site, your contribution of any Content, and/or your breach of any of the terms of this agreement.

You agree that you are responsible for your use of this site including the use of your user account by others and your reliance on any of the information found at this site.

You warrant that any uploaded content shall fully comply with these Terms, and you will be liable to us and indemnify us against all and any costs, claims, expenses and liabilities (including without limitation, legal fees and any sums paid on the advice of Counsel) for any breach of that warranty.

No Unlawful or Prohibited Use

You agree that when uploading Content to Parallel Parliament, you will not:

Defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise violate the legal rights (such as rights of privacy and publicity) of others.

Publish, post, upload, distribute or disseminate any inappropriate, profane, defamatory, infringing, obscene, indecent or unlawful topic, name, material or information.

Upload files that contain software or other material protected by intellectual property laws (or by rights of privacy of publicity) unless you own or control the rights thereto or have received all necessary consents.

Upload files that contain viruses, corrupted files, or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation of another’s computer.

Advertise or offer to sell or buy any goods or services for any business purpose.

Conduct or forward surveys, contests, pyramid schemes or chain letters.

Falsify or delete any author attributions, legal or other proper notices or proprietary designations or labels of the origin or source of software or other material contained in any Content.

Harvest or otherwise collect information about others, including e-mail addresses, without their consent.

Violate any applicable laws or regulations.

Content Removal

Parallel Parliament reserves the right to delete any or all uploaded Content, and to cancel or remove any service or any user account, at any time, without prior notice or explanation.
