Ban the importation of animal fur into the UK

The UK government has already limited the importation of animal fur into the UK by Council Regulation (EEC) No 3254/91, however certain animal fur can still be imported, some from countries with poor animal welfare rights. The government should ban the importation of ALL animal fur into the UK.

This petition is calling on the Government to make it mandatory for all health professionals to report to the DVLA any drivers with health conditions that may affect their ability to drive safely.

In 2019 UK Government finalised a free trade agreement (FTA) with Faroe Islands which allows for £100 million of exports of wild caught and farmed fish to Britain per annum (20% of the Faroe Islands global trade). This FTA should be suspended until all whale & dolphin hunts on Faroe Islands end

In January 2022 a certificate of inspection (COI) will be required for organic imports into the UK. A hard copy paper trace must go from importer to exporter, to port of entry, back to exporter, and back to the port with the goods on entry to UK. This ludicrous system will paralyse organic imports.
Protect animal welfare standards in trade agreement with Australia

The Government should ensure that any trade agreement it reaches with Australia does not allow for the import of products from animals which have been subject to lower welfare standards. This could help protect the animals’ welfare, as well as UK farming businesses and the UK public.
Seek to eliminate non-Tariff costs to UK-EU movement of goods

Very high costs are being seen by consumers and businesses in the UK, it is impacting general purchases, hobbies and in many cases businesses are having to set up EU based warehouses etc. This is expensive and makes it hard to compete.
