Change the Terminally Ill Adults Bill Private Members' Bill to a Public Bill

This issue is far to important to be debated and considered as a Private Members Bill. It should be made into a Public Bill and receive the appropriate time, consultation and procedure as expected by other issues of significant importance to the UK public.

This petition was rejected on 19th Mar 2025 for not petitioning for a specific action

The Petition Committee commented:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do as the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill is already a Public Bill, and subject to the same procedures within Parliament as a Public Bill introduced by the Government.

The Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill
Private Members' Bill (Ballot Bill) should be a Public Bill and therefore go through the same level of consultation, time and scrutiny that other public bills do. This issue has far reaching consequences and must not be rushed. Full transparency needs to be provided to the public.
