Give Wales the same funding per person for the rail network as England

We feel that the Welsh rail network is treated as second class compared to England. The nation has 11% of the entire UK's rail network, has 5% of the UK's population but receives just 1% of rail infrastructure funding.

The UK government could use the Railways Bill this year to create a mechanism to guarantee fair funding.

We feel that the rail network in Wales has so much potential to help address the challenges the nation and the world face. The nation has less electrified track than other developed countries. We believe that better investment - comparable with England and Scotland - could provide an economic boost, reduce carbon emissions, reduce congestion on busy roads and improve people's quality of life.

We want better and faster rail connection throughout Wales, not just to London.
