Change Universal Credit maximum holiday allowance

We urge the Government to extend the maximum holiday allowance from one month to 6 weeks. We believe this is crucial as it aligns with the six-week school holiday period that families only experience once a year.

Many parents wish to take their children out on holiday during this time, creating cherished family memories and providing valuable experiences. However, we think the existing limitation prevents them from fully utilising their annual leave. By extending the holiday allowance to 6 weeks, we believe it would not only support families in enjoying their time together but also consider the importance of mental wellbeing and quality family time.
