Increase the statutory paternity leave allowance for fathers of multiple births

We believe the Government should increase paternity leave allowance for fathers of multiple births, such as in the case of twins or triplets. We think it’s unfair that fathers are expected to return to work after two weeks in the event of multiple births.

We believe the current policy of 2 weeks for statutory paternity leave is unfair for fathers and mothers and are concerned about the potential mental health impact on mothers. We believe that children from multiple births require a huge amount of care a devotion from both parents, not just one parent. We believe that statutory paternity leave should increase per child born.
