The Government should require that immediate refunds are provided for the money that each sub-postmaster was forced to pay the Post Office to cover the erroneous "shortfalls" that the discredited Horizon software identified.
We do not see repayment of this money as "compensation" as it belonged to the victims in the first place. We do not think these funds should be part of or subject to any negotiation or lengthy process. They are specific amounts that each branch manager was forced to pay from their own private funds. We believe this money should be returned immediately and automatically.
