Amnesty for undocumented migrants after 10 years and reduce 20 year ILR rule - Final Signatures: 10,697

The Government should grant amnesty to undocumented migrants who have been living in the UK for 10 years or more, and reduce the 20 year residence rule for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR). This should be decreased to 14 years. It is unjust.

The Government responsed to this petition on 21st December 2021 (View Full Response)
The Government opposes the amnesty suggested and remains committed to an immigration policy which welcomes people to the UK through safe and legal routes but deters illegal immigration.

Found: Granting such migrants the right to remain would allow them to access public services and for their details
