Officials have engaged with business representative groups from both the landlord and tenant sectors to begin to understand the underlying issues arising from current commercial leasehold legislation that could be examined by a review of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, Part II

Once scope and format of the review have been announced, officials plan to conduct further engagement with stakeholders across the sector – including large and SME landlords and tenants, lenders, legal representatives, and academics – to better understand the issues under review. Further details will be announced in due course.
