Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask Her Majesty's Government, further to the answer by Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon on 26 March (HL Deb, col 613), whether money was given by the government of Nigeria to Boko Haram to secure the release of school girls in Dapchi; and if so, how much.

The Government of Nigeria has confirmed that the school girls in Dapchi were released through negotiation and that no ransom was paid.
