The Government will set out further specific operational arrangements in due course. But it is important to note that the Windsor Framework significantly expands the range of businesses who can benefit from trusted trader status. Businesses throughout the United Kingdom will now be eligible - moving away from the previous restrictions that required a physical premises in Northern Ireland. Registration will be straightforward. Criteria for businesses to qualify includes basic record keeping of goods movements, a good compliance record, and no history of serious criminal offences related to their economic activity.
