Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government, in the light of the shortage of capacity on the rail line between Ipswich and Felixstowe for both freight and passenger services, what consideration they have given to the use of a high quality rail replacement bus service in place of a passenger train at less busy times.

The specification and provision of rail replacement ‎ services is a commercial and operational matter for the operator and Network Rail.
