Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask Her Majesty's Government what steps they are taking in response to the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights in J.D and A v. the United Kingdom that the under-occupation reduction of housing benefit or the ‘bedroom tax’ unlawfully discriminates against women at serious risk of domestic violence.

We are carefully considering the European Court of Human Rights Judgment in the case of A.

We welcome the decision in the case of JD which confirmed in this case that the application of the RSRS policy was not discriminatory.
