To ask Her Majesty’s Government what assessment they have made of the impact of the European Rail Traffic Management System on the development of the Digital Railway.

The Digital Railway initiative is still under development by Network Rail and the industry. The full impact on the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) is being assessed as part of the development.
