The Government is using every diplomatic and humanitarian lever at our disposal to address the crisis, including doubling our humanitarian and development aid to Afghanistan and the region to a total of £286 million this year. We are working closely with the World Food Programme to ensure that food insecure adults and children receive the support they need. Responding to food insecurity is a high priority for our funding and we will be making further announcements shortly.
