Home Office information management systems do not accurately record and report on the data requested, but work is underway to ensure they do. Provisional management information that is subject to change and has not been assured to the standard of Official Statistics can be provided.

The Detention Gatekeeper considers immigration detention primarily based on removability and vulnerability. It is not possible for an individual to be detained having been assessed as unsuitable for detention by the Detention Gatekeeper unless a change in circumstances later arises that could for example include the availability of travel documentation.
