The Home Office works closely with local authorities in dealing with families with no recourse to public funds, in particular through the No Recourse to Public Funds Connect database. Where the immigration status of such families is unresolved, the Home Office will seek to conclude all outstanding applications as quickly as possible. Where such families have no right to remain in the UK, the Home Office will seek to secure their return to their country of origin.
