Ministers in BEIS and across Government meet local authorities on a range of net zero issues through meetings with individual councils, and with organisations such as the Local Government Association and the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives and Senior Managers.

Officials in Government departments also meet local authorities and other stakeholders on the effective design of their respective policies which help to meet net zero goals.
