Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask Her Majesty's Government, further to the Written Statement by the Secretary of State for Transport on 5 June (HCWS1594), what assessment they have made of the progress report on revisions to regulations on passenger rights; what submissions they made to that report; and what steps they will take in response.

In the UK many aspects of rail passengers’ rights already go beyond EU requirements.

We have reviewed and noted the Progress Report. We will continue to work closely with the Commission and others to deliver the revisions to regulations on rail passenger rights.
